Here’s a scene of Oakland police using stun grenades on peaceful protesters who were trying to help a War Veteran from the Iraq War who was shot in the face by a non-lethal round by Oakland police [he was seriously hurt].
The brutality shown on peaceful protesters in Oakland and elsewhere is unacceptable. Once the police act like thugs they will lose not only the respect of these protesters, but could inflame the situation into a 60s style of revolt.
All Americans have a right to assemble peacefully. The local police departments need not act like some Third World Country police force that uses violence to subdue “free expression.”
