The clock started ticking on March 2, 2011 when Wisconsin\u00a0citizens initiated the recall of\u00a0eight Republican state senators who back Scott Walker.<\/p>\n \n\t\t

After filing the papers, pro-recall activists will have 60 days (that is 55 days from this posting) to collect almost 15,000 signatures per district.\u00a0 Party activists have narrowed down the top\u00a0six districts that are most likely to recall their senator. You can see the chart below.\u00a0 It is true that District 8 is slightly closer to Chicagoland, but I am planning on spending my weekend in District 14; supporting the Wisconsin14.<\/p>\n \n\t\t

The weather is getting warm and, like you, I could easily create a long to-do list this weekend, but our neighbors to the north need our support right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The people who have camped out in the Capitol deserve our support.<\/p>\n

The 14 senators who are staying in Illinois deserve our support.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, we need to win this fight and put Scott Walker’s anti-middle class agenda on ice. The two things you can do to participate in this cause is to collect signatures and attend the Saturday rally in Madison.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To attend the rally, you can get on a bus in Rockford, IL (sponsored by Northwestern Illinois Building Trades and Rockford United Labor)<\/p>\n

Busses will leave the IBEW Local 364 parking lot at 6820 Mill Road, Rockford, Illinois, at 10:30AM this Saturday March 12th and will be back in Rockford at 6:30PM. You must reserve seats by contacting Brad Long at the Northwestern Il. Building Trades at 815-965-2282 or blong@nwibt.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
